Eastside Sessions exists to remove financial barriers young musicians face and provide access to professional spaces they need to create, practice, collaborate, and grow. Created through a partnership between Mount of Angels (an LA based youth arts nonprofit) and Eastside Rehearsal, the program provides young musicians ages 8&ndash;18 with free access to professional rehearsal space, with a focus on serving youth from Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, and surrounding communities. For many young musicians, talent and ambition develop long before they have access to the equipment, space, or financial resources needed to pursue them. Eastside Sessions helps close that gap by giving young artists a place to play together, develop their sound, and prepare for performances. Donations to Eastside Sessions directly support youth access to rehearsal time. As funds are raised, participating young musicians and bands are able to use Eastside Rehearsal at no cost to them, creating opportunities that might otherwise be financially out of reach. Our goal is simple: give young musicians a place to make music.
