On August 18, 2025, our community suffered a heartbreaking loss with the sudden passing of Coach David Strong, head coach of the Damascus Lady Jackets. Coach Strong was more than just a coach&mdash;he was a mentor, leader, and friend to so many. His dedication, passion, and love for the game left a lasting mark on his players, our organization, and the entire Damascus community. Coach Strong&rsquo;s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and commitment. He poured his heart into every practice, every game, and every player, shaping not only athletes but also young people who will carry his lessons with them for life. The Damascus Sports Association will truly miss his presence, leadership, and the impact he made on and off the field. At the request of Coach Strong&rsquo;s family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Damascus Lady Jackets, DSA&rsquo;s select softball program. This program meant so much to Coach Strong, and supporting it is a meaningful way to honor his legacy and continue the work he believed in so deeply. Together, we celebrate the life of Coach Strong, and we will carry forward his legacy with pride and gratitude.
