Join us for a series of hands-on performing arts workshops for all ages! Whether you're interested in acting, learning what happens behind the scenes, or trying improvisation, these workshops are designed to inspire creativity and build confidence in a fun, welcoming environment.Workshop 1: ActingTuesday, August 3 | 3:00–3:45 PM$10 | Ages 9–14This workshop explores the basic tools of an actor's trade—observation, memorization, concentration, and imagination—in an entertaining way. Participants will take part in fun exercises while learning to apply these acting skills both on stage and in everyday life.Workshop 2: Behind the ScenesWednesday, August 4 | 3:00–3:45 PM$10 | Ages 13–18Actors have important jobs to do to tell a story, but there are many people who make theatre magic happen before the curtain even rises! This workshop explores the worlds of costume design, set design, theatre marketing, and makeup design, giving participants a taste of the many art forms involved in creating a successful performance.Workshop 3: ImprovisationThursday, August 6 | 4:00–4:45 PM **NEW TIME**$10 | Ages 16+Listening, creativity, and bravery are all important skills for an improv actor to develop. This workshop emphasizes teamwork and enthusiastic participation as students learn to perform without a script. Participants of all experience levels are welcome and will be successful in this supportive and engaging workshop.Registration: $10 per workshop, per participant.Space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
