The Garden of Healing is an experiment in radical community care.&nbsp; By creating space for political activists and organizers to connect with healing practitioners of all modalities, we hope to strengthen the resilience and power of popular movements for systemic transformation.&nbsp; What does that mean?&nbsp; Those on the front lines of social change movements are exhausted, burnt out and struggling to maintain hope that we shall actually overcome.&nbsp; Everyone is feeling the stress and anxiety of our political turmoil. Self-care is difficult, if not impossible, on our own. Healers, or people who have invested their time and energy studying restorative practices of a range of modalities, have chosen to give of themselves to be of service for the benefit of others.&nbsp; What does that look like?&nbsp; The Summer Garden of Healing on June 14th will include group sessions and 1-on-1 sessions.&nbsp; By registering for the event, you are welcome to be present in the Garden of Healing space, a place where you are enough.&nbsp; Expect to make human connections, enjoy delicious natural food, spend time in a safe, indoor and outdoor space, fully accessible for all. You will be invited to participate in community discussion, yoga, sound bath, reiki, auric healing, massage, breath work, and more,&nbsp; Wait, isn&#39;t there a protest that day? &nbsp;Yes, indeed!&nbsp; This fortunate alignment will allow us to provide real-time care to volunteers and protestors, after having experienced a high energy event. Increased cortisol levels and feelings of agitation are common after participation in protests, and taking time to decompress afterwards can be useful to avoid carrying unnecessary stress.&nbsp; Does this cost any money?&nbsp;Short answer, no. However, your contributions, of time and money, are what make this event possible.&nbsp; The Garden of Healing is beginning to grow with the resources we currently share amongst us.
