We are the Marketing and Promotion 11 class at ACS. For the past 5 months, we’ve been working alongside the Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Society to help develop a marketing plan for them. Now, we’re hoping to surprise them with some fundraising!

FVDSS is a non-profit organization based in Abbotsford that provides programs and services to clients with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is a genetic disability that affects people’s physical features, cognitive function and speech. Unlike many other disabilities, families with Down syndrome receive little to no government funding.

That's why the work FVDSS is doing is so important because they provide families and individuals with essential services at very affordable costs. They provide a range of programs and therapies to help aid in children's development (music therapy, speech therapy, and more) as well as different social nights and community-building events.

For FVDSS to be able to continue serving in our community, they need our help. Funds raised will assist FVDSS in fulfilling its goals of providing educational workshops, new parent outreach visits, therapies, a resource library, new parent packages, guest speakers, family events and other programs.
