Let's Wrap It Up! Finishing the Spire Restoration By 2016, the state of our cathedral spire had deteriorated to the point of imminent collapse. If we failed to act, the corroded internal supports could fail, causing the spire to crash into the building and threatening the safety of everyone in and around the Cathedral. Over the last six years, scaffolding surrounded our building as a team of architects, metal restoration experts, and masons took away the aluminum tiles away for restoration and repaired the underlying steel frame. We are thrilled to announce that the end of this project is finally in sight. The scaffolding has finally come down!  However, we still need your help! Although we have received generous support throughout this project, the projected final restoration cost is approximately $11.9 million dollars. At this time, we still need to raise an additional $350,000 dollars for the remaining restoration costs. At the end of the project, any remaining shortfall will be converted to a mortgage.  Your contribution––large or small––will help us to complete the spire restoration without debt and continue our ministries for generations to come.

Au cours des six dernières années, des échafaudages ont entouré notre bâtiment tandis qu'une équipe d'architectes, d'experts en restauration des métaux et de maçons a soigneusement démonté la flèche et remplacé les supports en acier. Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que la fin de ce projet est enfin en vue. L'échafaudage a enfin été démonté! Cependant, nous avons encore besoin de votre aide ! Bien que nous ayons reçu de généreux soutiens tout au long de ce projet, le coût final de cette restauration est estimé à environ 11,9 millions de dollars.
