This donation will help us offer free places at our Tinkering Schools for kids in 2024.  Tinkering Schools provide experiential learning opportunities for kids aged 9 -14 years old with a focus on environmental education and activities that will teach tool skills for the next generation of do-it-yourselfers.  At the Tinkering School, kids learn about the safe use and handling of tools while building the skills and confidence to imagine and take on projects that help them reduce their impact on the environment. Whether they’re interested in woodworking, sewing, upcycling, or gardening, the Tinkering School provides kids with the space and support to start creating. Everyone will make something they’ll feel proud of and leave with the knowledge to build more! Our Tinkering Schools offers a supportive and collaborative learning environment with a small child to instructor ratio (6:1). Programming options including day-camps, short workshops, virtual events and workshop kits.
