This leaves them completely unaware of why they are suffering and how they can recover.                         Our Peer Support program provides a safe place for brain injury survivors who have experienced relationship abuse.  Peer Support allows individuals with an acquired brain injury to work through their challenges in a supportive environment with mentors that understand what they are going through. It is an essential part of rehabilitation for survivors, including those individuals who have acquired a brain injury from relationship violence. The program helps to improve overall confidence and mental well-being, while reducing anxiety, depression and isolation. Peer support ultimately supports not just survivors, but also their support systems, including family, friends and the wider community.
