With the support of Merkos (Chabad HQ), we are excited to announce our fundraising campaign for a brand new Chai Center (Chabad house) serving the Lake Chapala area, Jalisco, Mexico.Mission Statement of Chabad of Lake Chapala<ol><li>Create an authentic, warm Jewish center around Lake Chapala, promoting Jewish pride, celebration, and education in a English/Spanish/Hebrew setting.</li><li>Create a warm and welcoming Jewish center, where family and individuals can worship and experience their Jewish heritage in a nonjudgmental and friendly atmosphere.</li><li>Provide for the spiritual, educational and material needs of every Jew in the community, regardless of background or affiliation, with unconditional love and concern.</li></ol> This is the actual time of the "footsteps of Mashiach." It is therefore imperative for every Jew to seek his fellow's welfare - whether old or young - to inspire the other to teshuva (return), so that he will not fall out - G‑d forbid - of the community of Israel who will shortly be privileged, with G‑d's help, to experience complete redemption.-HaYom Yom, Chai Sivan The Suares FamilyYossi was raised in Los Altos, California. He attended the Mayanot Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Israel and Hadar HaTorah Rabbinical Seminary in Crown Heights, New York. He is completing a Rabbinical Ordination with Lemaan Yilmedu with a speciality as a ‘community Rav’, as well as being a mentor to dozens of young men in Hadar HaTorah. Yehudis worked in Kiryas Joel as a careworker for the local community and as a schoolteacher in Crown Heights. She cherishes her current occupation as administrative assistant for Living Chassidus in Crown Heights. We estimate approximately 500 Jewish people live around the lake and another group regularly visit the area, coming mainly from Guadalajara.  Lake Chapala, located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, has become a popular retirement destination for expats from around the world. The area offers a unique combination of natural beauty, warm climate, and affordable living, making it an attractive option for retirees.
