Hi my name is Elizabeth and I have been battling alcohol addiction and bipolar disorder for 22 years. I finally found a place in Arkansas (where I live) that treats dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction) but they don't take my insurance. In fact, according to Recovery Centers of Arkansas, Medicaid doesn't cover any residential treatment past the detox phase (3-5 days) There are free faith based programs but all of them deny you mental health care and require that you come off all your medication before admittance. I'm bipolar with PTSD and it would be extremely dangerous for me to come off my meds. The treatment center I found that incorporates medical, mental, and spiritual care is called Hollow Creek Treatment Center in Bismarck, AR. They have a Facebook page so you can look them up. I have a FB page too so you can look me up, it's under Liz Mahar     The first month at Hollow Creek is $1500 and every month after that is $600. They are a 6-12 month program. I have already found a nonprofit to cover the first month and possibly the next 2 months. But I still have 6-9 months to raise funds for and once I'm in the program I won't have my phone or the technology to do that with.  I've emailed over 75 churches in AR and only got 3 responses, both stating that they don't budget for this sort of thing. I wasn't asking that they pay for the whole thing, just a small donation. I've also tried crowd sourcing on Facebook and they blocked any activity for 24 hours because they consider it spamming.  I just got out of detox 2 days ago so I'm hoping to go to Hollow Creek as soon as possible.
