The Women's Y Foundation of Montreal was created in 1995 to support the YWCA Montreal, which works to fight issues related to exclusion, inequality and violence.
By donating, you are contributing to building a better future for women and girls!
What your donation can do:
$10 –An appointment with a lawyer for legal information in a discreet and safe environment;
$20 – One night in a safe room at the YWCA Montreal;
$40 – One hour of psychological support with a social worker;
$100 – One day and one night in a safe room at the YWCA Montreal with psychosocial support from an intervention worker.

The 4 funded key families of action:
- Safe housing where women can rebuild their confidence and regain a stable life;
- Youth services to raise the awareness of youth about healthy relationships and the diversification of career choices;
- Employability programs to facilitate integrating into the workplace or school to ensure the participant’s financial autonomy and thus greater independence;
- Information and community support, whether through the Legal Information Clinic, workshops for caregivers or the skills development centre.
The YWCA in 2022:
- 93 women benefited from the help and support provided by our housing services;
- 914 women participated in one or several programs and initiatives provided by our employability services;
- 1,486 youth and intervention workers participated in different programs, workshops and activities provided by youth services (+ hundreds of views and downloads of our online tools);
- Over 1,735 women benefited from the different services and activities provided to the community; many made use of more than one service.
