The St. Bonaventure’s College Walkathon is an annual fundraiser to support a variety of curricular initiatives. Our goal for this year’s Walkathon is $35,000. The money raised will be used to create new learning spaces in Holland Hall and Mullock Hall.
These new spaces will blend learning common spaces with makerspace resources and opportunities so that students have available to them a wide assortment of tech and non-tech tools and machines that they might need to build, hack, fix, create or model solutions for just about any kind of project. The funds raised will allow us to purchase items such as:
- 3D Printers
- Spheros indi Educational Robot Student Kits
- Raspberry Pis (for coding)
- Ozobots (coding robots)
- Makey Makey Kits (students will transform everyday items into computer interfaces)
- Fischertechnik Machine Building Tools
- Video Production Tools
- Kinetic Sand
- Legos
- Art Carts
- Standing Desks
- Flexible Seating
- and more
By supporting the Walkathon, you will help our students to further develop creative, hands-on problem solving and foundational reasoning and build critical skills in fields such as science, technology, engineering, and math.
Thank you to everyone in advance for your support.
