This is not an application-based program. Many artists, particularly those in crisis or later in life, are not in a position to navigate complex grant processes. Fortunately, there are several outstanding organizations in Houston and across Texas that specialize in grant-based artist support and serve our creative communities generously and effectively. Our approach is different. As part of our outreach model, our Advisory Council, comprised of artists, collectors, curators, and professionals across the state, identifies urgent needs and opportunities aligned with our mission. They make recommendations to our Board of Governors, who vote to release funds directly. We are looking (09-15-2025) for a volunteer or volunteers to put in about 4 hours a week for this program. This will be a paid position as we move forward with our grant writing, and donations.
