Dear Friends and Supporters of Historic Holy Trinity,We are writing to share an urgent need and to invite you to join us in preserving a cherished piece of our community's history.  Recently the boiler system in our Historic church failed leaving us without heat right before the Christmas holiday and the start of the coldest months of the year.  This essential system has served us faithfully on and off for decades but it has now reached the end of its life. On December 8th, during a routine check, we discovered the interior temperature had dropped to 40 degrees due to the boiler's failure.  Despite servicing it, the system failed again during another routine check on December 23rd.  An HVAC expert and a Boiler Manufacturer Representative have since determined that the best long-term solution is to replace the outdated boiler with six mini-split units and a new furnace.  These units will not only provide more reliable heating during the winter but will also offer increased efficiency of our air conditioning in the summer months. The total cost of this critical project is $30,000.  Thanks to the generosity of our community this Christmas, including donations and proceeds from December's thrift store sales, we have already saved $10,000 some of which was earmarked for summer work projects. To help us reach the remaining $20,000, one generous donor has pledged to match all contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $3,000.  We have launched a Zeffy Campaign to make donating simple and fee-free for our non-profit organization, meaning we receive 100% of every dollar donated.  That means that every donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to our goal of restoring and maintaining this Historic Landmark for generations to come.
