Robotics qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston on April 17-20 by winning the state INSPIRE Award, "given to the team that best embodies the ‘challenge’ of the FIRST Tech Challenge program [... and] is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FIRST team." An additional 10 members will be traveling with the teams to help support both in their World Championship journeys. Our robot, Cadenza, saw lots of success throughout the season: <ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">33-17-0 overall game play record</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Finalist Alliance Captain at the Columbus District Event</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Winner of the Plainfield District Event</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Rank #2 at the Indiana State Championships</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Industrial Design Award and 2x Quality Award Winner</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">#1 Component Offensive Power Rating at the Indiana State Championships</li></ul> To our knowledge, this is the first time a single program in Indiana has qualified both an FTC team and an FRC team in the same season. And we only hope to add to this season's accomplishments at the World Championships! The short time frame to prepare for the World Championship means we need your help funding this once in a lifetime opportunity for our students.
