Thank you for your interest in Springboard Connectivity, a non-profit organization dedicated to building models of sustainability and regeneration across the world. Our commitment is to co-create a world where all beings thrive. This fundraiser is for the empowerment and transformation of an entire rural village (pop. 3,500) in Western Kenya, also known as VET.  The project consists of three phases:1) Water Well Installation2) Food System Transformation and Forest Regeneration3) Skills Based Education Center Powered by Renewable Energy  In February 2025, we gratefully and humbly completed Phase 1 of the VET Project. Now, Malaha has a water well equipped with storage tanks, a solar pump and three spigots that serve 3,500 people. The residents are now able to sustain themselves during the dry seasons (which are getting more pronounced and unpredictable). We are now raising funds for Phase 2 - improvement and transformation of their food systems and reforesting the village to repair the water cycles. Phase 2 includes:1) A Tree Nursery that will grow natives, fruit trees, timber trees and herbal medicine - $5,0002) Micro Poultry Farms focused on enhanced Egg Production for higher protein consumption - $5,0003) A Goat Dairy for 10 Elder Women - $4,0004) Travel for our Team to go help them install these projects - $4,0005) Education on how to maintain and manage their new systems - $2,000<img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/hxn9dbuhd/image/upload/v1745184941/wysiwyg/kdktskc4u9hnh9m9w8hx.jpg" style="width:600px;display:block;vertical-align:top;margin:5px auto;text-align:center;position:relative;cursor:pointer;padding:0px 1px;user-select:none;box-sizing:inherit;max-width:100%" /> Malaha is currently filled with idle youth and a general propensity for disease / ill health due to diet and malnutrition. These circumstances are putting stress on these people, keeping them living in a cycle of depression and poverty. In fact, most of our Kenyan constituents struggle with access to adequate food supply. Watering crop fields is a struggle, due to lack of irrigation and prolonged and more intensified drought seasons. At Springboard Connectivity, we feel that balancing out their carbohydrate-rich diet, which is proving difficult to grow and store because of the times we are living in, with more nutritious and diverse options like eggs, goat milk and nutrient rich fruits like jackfruit and avocado.  In Phase 2 of the Village Empowerment and Transformation Project, we are creating jobs and balanced nutrition, we are also providing education AND reforesting the land. Meet the youth members of VETO - the Village Empowerment and Transformation Team. VETO consists of young men and women in Malaha village who are ready to activate the transformation.
