Gommer Library Project AnnouncementThe Board of Directors of Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center would like to honor both Pastor Chuck and Viola Gommer. The Gommer’s were the original founders of our beautiful school. They have faithfully supported the school, children and staff over the years. Viola continues to serve on the School Board. She and Pastor Gommer have assisted in leading many projects over the years to help the school improve and grow.Pastor Chuck had a deep love of learning and Vi has been involved with the community library for years. Therefore, we have decided to create a “Reading Corner” in the TECEC Lobby, as well as, an outdoor Lending Library. We are inviting those that wish to honor the Gommer’s to contribute to this endeavor. We are seeking monetary donations to be used for a children’s bench, adult reading chair and memorial plaque.We would like to transform the alcove area into an outdoor lending library and reading nook complete with a commemorative bench, lending library case, as well as, decorative landscaping. Engraved bricks will also be available for purchase to be added to the alcove area. Our hope is to raise enough funds to complete both projects as our way of honoring the Gommer’s dedication and love for our school.
