(Español abajo) This International Workers' Day, many organizations and individuals are participating in mobilizations, and withholding their labor, as ways to act in solidarity with workers around the world, honor the Haymarket Riot, and defend the rights of immigrant workers. We are raising funds to support working class individuals so they can participate in May Day efforts and ease financial hardship. Taking action comes with risks, including lost wages and potential employer retaliation. 100% of these funds will be directly redistributed to individuals across the Chicagoland area in need of support during these mobilizations. All recipient information will be kept anonymous.  Solidarity means action. If you believe in worker power and a just future, donate today!  WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FUNDS:-you are missing work due to actively participating in mobilizations related to the May 1st Week of Resistance-you are at or below 50% <a href="https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/doh/provdrs/renters/svcs/ami_chart.html">AMI based on your household size</a>-you have no access to paid time off HOW ARE FUNDS DETERMINED?-we hope to provide $200 stipends per worker, which represents an 8 hour living wage day in the Chicago area, according to<a href="https://livingwage.mit.edu/metros/16980"> MIT's living wage calculator</a>  HOW ARE FUNDS DISSEMINATED? We will prioritize coordination with worker centers to increase accessibility to day laborers, domestic workers, and temp workers.
