Trail Life Fundraiser Fishing Tournament Rules
1. It is the responsibility of the participant to read and understand all rules prior to tournament blast off. State fishing License required.
2. No one under 18 years of age can participate unless accompanied by parent or guardian.
3. U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket must be worn while engine is on plane.
4. A working aerated live well is required, no stringer or baskets allowed.
5. Artificial lures only. Use only 1 rod at a time, no trolling. Casting only. No live bait.
6. Only largemouth, smallmouth, and Kentucky bass are allowed. Minimum length will be 15" on Largemouth bass, 18" on Smallmouth bass, and 12" on Kentucky bass (will be identified by tooth patch). There will be a 5 fish limit per boat. Fish will be measured on a Golden Rule board.
7. Any team attempting to weight in a short fish will lose that fish and their biggest fish unless a request for length check is made prior to weigh-in.
8. Competitors who do not have their numbered chip on the official weigh-in site table by 3pm will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS!
9. Any fish that appears to have been mutilated in any way will be weighed at discretion of the tournament officials at the weigh in and their decision is final.
10. Penalty of 1.0lbs will be deducted from any dead fish weighed in. Each team will only be allowed to weigh one dead fish. Tournament officials at weigh in site will determine live fish and their decision is final.
11. Any competitor bringing more than 5 fish to the scales will have their entire bag/catch disqualified.
12. Any complaints or questions must be brought in writing and signed to the attention of the tournament officials either prior to the start of the tournament or the closing of the weigh-in. Complaints will not be accepted after that time and the decision of the tournament officials WILL BE FINAL.
13. Anyone participating in the Trail Life Fundraiser Tournament will be subject to a polygraph exam and or voice stress analysis if requested by the tournament officials. Examiner's decision must be accepted without appeal. Entrants understand that the failure of such a test or refusal to take the test will disqualify them from the tournament.
14. Absolutely no hole-setting or holding of a fishing spot by an alternate boater. This will not be permitted!
15. No fishing within 100 feet of another tournament boat unless given permission by another boater.
16. All boaters must obey State Boating Laws.
17. No alcoholic beverages or non-prescription drugs allowed in boat.
18. A contestant must stay in boat at all times. If a contestant leaves the boat for any reason, no fishing equipment will be allowed in possession.
19. Tournament officials reserve the right to refuse participant's entry into tournament.
20. Liability: Damages of any kind to a team's boat, tackle or equipment, personal injury, are the responsibility of the individuals involved and not Trail Life.
21. By signing the rules form, participants agree to waive all liability of Trail Life and its officials, and further understand they must abide by official tournament rules.
22. THE INFRINGEMENT OF THESE RULES SHALL BE CONSIDERED CAUSE FOR DISQUALIFICATION. INTERPRETATION OF THESE RULES SHALL BE LEFT EXCLUSIVELY TO TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS.
***Blast off boat numbers will be assigned in order of sign-up. You may register the morning of the event or register early, by mail, or with this link. If registering by mail, please complete the information needed below and mail this form with a check for $120.00 ($140 if including Big Fish) (check payable to Jason Locke) to the address below. Early entry mail-ins must be postmarked by March 19th. There are NO LATE FEES for this event. ****
