Come join us for a fun, low-pressure Barn Hunt Practice!We&rsquo;re not official Barn Hunt experts (yet 😉), but we do have awesome trained rats, a legit barn setup, and dreams of one day hosting our own Barn Hunt club.This is a great chance to see if your dog enjoys scent work, build confidence, and learn something new together.<h3 data-end="874" data-start="850" fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;">What to Expect</h3>Each dog will take short, individual turns:<ul data-end="1309" data-start="921" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li data-end="1067" data-start="921" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Start with Intro to Tubes, where your dog sniffs out which of three tubes hides the live rat (the others are empty or filled with litter).</li><li data-end="1192" data-start="1068" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Move on to the Barn Setup, modeled after a &ldquo;novice&rdquo; Barn Hunt course &mdash; find the hidden rat tube among the hay bales!</li><li data-end="1309" data-start="1193" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Learn how to encourage your dog to climb, tunnel, and search, read their cues, and strengthen your teamwork.</li></ul>Rats are trained pets who are safe and unharmed throughout the activity.<h3 data-end="1422" data-start="1400" fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;">What to Bring</h3><ul data-end="1641" data-start="1423" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li data-end="1440" data-start="1423" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Your dog!</li><li data-end="1568" data-start="1441" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Martingale collar and leash (we&rsquo;ll keep collars on for safety &mdash; in official Barn Hunt, dogs run &ldquo;naked,&rdquo; but not here!)</li><li data-end="1641" data-start="1569" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You don&rsquo;t need to bring anything else &mdash; just come ready to have fun!</li></ul><h3 data-end="1675" data-start="1648" fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;">Who Should Try It?</h3>Pretty much everyone! That&rsquo;s totally fine &mdash; there&rsquo;s only one way to find out!
