An Evening of Cooking, Stories &amp; Shared Food with Chef Tim Hollands. Join professional chef and food storyteller Tim Hollands for a relaxed and engaging evening of live cooking, cultural stories, and a shared meal. Born in Tokyo and based in Melbourne, Tim brings global flavours and rich food stories from his travels through Asia and the Middle East. Working with industry bodies, government and communities, he shares a unique perspective on the food we eat and where it comes from. Through live cooking demonstrations, Tim will guide you through flavours, techniques, and ingredients weaving in stories from markets, producers, and kitchens around the world.Our next dish will be a delicious chicken and chorizo paella and salad, cooked in front of us whilst we learn the tips to create this dish. &nbsp;We discuss how to use spices confidently, along with some of the history behind the spice trade, before sitting down together to enjoy the meal.&nbsp;As host of Cooks&rsquo; Tours at Dandenong Market, and a specialist in community and corporate events, Tim creates warm, interactive experiences that bring people together over great food. Thai Street Food Favourites Experience the vibrant flavours of Thailand as Tim and Leana guide you through three of the country&#39;s most iconic dishes. Learn the techniques behind authentic Thai cooking while discovering how to balance the essential flavours of sweet, sour, salty and spicy using fresh herbs, aromatic spices and traditional pantry ingredients. Menu Thai Fish Cakes (Tod Mun Pla) Fragrant fish cakes infused with red curry paste, kaffir lime leaves and fresh herbs, served with a refreshing cucumber relish. Authentic Pad Thai Thailand&#39;s famous stir-fried rice noodles with chicken and prawns, cooked with tamarind, palm sugar and fish sauce, finished with fresh bean sprouts, garlic chives, roasted peanuts and lime. Mango Sticky Rice A classic Thai dessert of creamy coconut sticky rice served with sweet ripe mango and toasted sesame seeds. Tickets are $45.00 each.
