'Secret garden and beyond' by Stephanie Jane Rampton

Etching, aquatint and collage. Unique state. Image size 12 x 15 cm, framed.

Stephanie's work explores cherished and almost forgotten places. In her words: "Etching these memories into copper is a way of holding them close, inscribing them into heart and mind, preserving them for a time when memory may fade."

Stephanie studied art in England in the late seventies, taught in New York and Hong Kong, and has called Australia home for almost 30 years. She is represented by Australian Galleries in Melbourne. Her work was highly commended in the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, she has twice been a finalist in the Burnie Print Prize, and she has exhibited at the Douro Biennale in Portugal and twice with the Royal Society of Printmakers in London. Her work is held in the National Gallery of Art archives in Canberra and in public and private collections worldwide.

Stephanie was recently diagnosed with MSA, and we're so grateful she has donated this piece to support others living with it.
