This fundraising project is part of the movement of the Holy Spirit, which has been trying to gather various actors around the globe for several decades now in order to reach the French-speaking regions of Canada through the Gospel. This region is one of the largest unreached mission fields in the world at present. Through initiatives such as those of the Francophone ministry of the Fellowship, the Association des Églises Baptistes du Québec and Mission Québec , the Church La Cité Mascouche is experiencing unprecedented growth! With a weekly attendance growth of over 25% in the past 6 months and nearly 70 baptisms expected by the end of 2025, which is unprecedented in its history. This mass conversion movement cannot be compared to the growth the Church experienced during the 1970s-1980s, a special period known as the Quiet Revolution. A different kind of revolution is taking place, and the leaders of La Cité Church realize that this is much bigger than themselves! They celebrate God's grace weekly in the lives of hundreds of people who gather together regularly. Currently, about 600 people meet weekly in their facilities, and sometimes attendance reaches nearly 800 people in two services (as their facilities can accommodate no more than 450 people at a time). Currently, in order not to hinder this expansion, the Church is considering adding a third service in 2026. However, they also recognize the challenges associated with volunteer work in such an initiative. Members of La Cité Church have therefore decided to embark on planning for an expansion project in order to accommodate 1000 people simultaneously in the coming months. In planning this expansion project, an amazing opportunity arises for La Cité: a partnership with municipal authorities who would like to participate in this project to benefit the citizens and organizations of the region. Once again, the Church sees in this opportunity a wink from the Holy Spirit opening a wonderful opportunity to deepen the work and community involvement efforts of the congregation in the region, especially as the Quebec context remains generally hesitant about anything related to religion! In this regard, the leaders of La Cité, in collaboration with the members of the Church, are searching for financial partners who will contribute to living and writing history! To achieve an initial goal of $1,000,000 to help build a multifunctional hall that can accommodate 1000 people, they present the opportunity to contribute to the installation of each seat at a cost of $1000. They are looking for 1000 commitments of $1000 each to reach the $1,000,000 goal. 1000 x 1000 $ = 1,000,000 $.
