In a world that longs for unity and peace, Hashtaka Dance Studio and The Egyptian Dance Academy proudly present our Peace Gala: Calling for World Peace - Dance for a Cause While we usually gather during Christmas for our student showcase to celebrate achievements, this year, our focus is on a different cause—PEACE AND AWARENESS.The net profit from the event will be donated to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), they are on the ground and have direct access to the people in Gaza, but they are grossly underfunded. Donations to them have the least absorption to operational costs because the people who work there are Palestinians and live in Palestine already, so most of the donation goes directly to the people in need (not to international staff whose costs are already heavily funded by UN and governmental budgets).  The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stands as a frontline provider of emergency and life-saving medical treatment, operating with minimal resources. Comprising dedicated Palestinian individuals, they tirelessly serve their communities on the ground, often at great personal risk. Unlike many organizations, PRCS lacks the luxury of evacuation; their ambulance convoys, vital for reaching hospitals, face shelling. Despite challenges, they persist in their mission, managing hospitals with limited resources. With a predominant volunteer force of around 14,000, PRCS operates differently from typical NGOs, emphasizing their commitment to the well-being of their people over organizational models.
