What began as just a hot pot of coffee for members has grown into long-standing ACCM programs, such as:<ul><li>Our weekly Dinner and Discussion;</li><li>The monthly Sylvain’s Buyer’s Club Food Baskets;</li><li>ACCM’s Community Pantry and Fridge;</li></ul>… to name just a few.  Compared to the general Canadian population, people living with HIV are significantly more likely to experience <a href="https://www.ohtn.on.ca/food-security-study/" target="_blank"></a><a href="https://www.ohtn.on.ca/food-security-study/" target="_blank">food insecurity</a>. So much more than just a warm meal, for people living with HIV, food can make the difference in medication adherence, quality of life, social connection and much more. In 2022-2023, ACCM has helped deliver over 11,644 kg of food to our Members. Since then, ACCM has seen a rise in members accessing our services and a drop in the Covid-related financial support from funders. ACCM has had to face the difficult necessity of implementing waitlists for certain programs like our monthly Buyer’s Club Food Baskets and could not continue offering hot meals for emergency needs.  This is where the community of ACCM rises to address this challenge by raising the funds necessary to ensure these programs continue reaching the needs of the community. Here is how your donation will make a difference: $10:  Will ensure 1 week of hot coffee, tea, and nutritious snacks can be provided at our Drop-In space for Members$50: Contributes to replenish our emergency meals via ACCM’s Community Pantry &amp; Fridge every week$100: Funds a hot meal at our weekly Dinner &amp; Discussion group$250: Ensures 30 members receive a monthly nutritious food basket through our Buyers’ Club Please help us reach our goal this season of $5000.
