Thank you for allowing me the time to introduce you to Countryside Camp and Conference Centre the summer home of “Camp Shalom!” Countryside Camp is a non-profit charitable organization serving children and teens as well as adults with special needs throughout Ontario.  This summer over 800 individuals, ages 6-80 years old, will participate in an exciting camping experience, through over-night or day sessions.  This includes working with children and teens from Big Brothers and Sisters, Family and Children’s Services, House of Friendship; as well as providing specialized programs to teens and adults with developmental disabilities. Countryside Camp is the largest residential summer camp facility for individuals with “Special Needs” in southern Ontario. Countryside Camp has received the Covid payroll subsidies offered by the government of Canada during this pandemic, but normally receives no support from any level of government and funding is largely received from:1.     Our Summer Camp Registrations2.     Our Rental Ministries for Conference and Retreats3.     Annual Fundraising Efforts and Events The Annual Fun Fair is our flagship fundraising event and provides our community an opportunity to reunite, reconnect while supporting a greater cause. The Annual Fun Fair would usually be held this year on Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our fair is on-line for the week of September 15 to 18th, 2021.  Needless to say, this event is vital to the success of Countryside Camp being able to continue to offer exciting summer camp programs. To enable us to make this year successful, we request your support.
