The school has been an active partner of the organization&nbsp;Persévérons ensemble&nbsp;for close to 10 years in the CSSMI region. Through their practice and the contemplation stimulated by reflective workshops, the karatekas quickly learn that persevering means &ldquo;to keep going even when it&rsquo;s difficult.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;This is exactly what more than 300 brave warriors aged 4 to 76 have been doing since the lockdown began in March 2020 and continue to do!&nbsp;In addition to pursuing their regular training online, 30 karatekas comprising the Troupe martiale solidaire also decided to engage virtually in practices for the production despite the challenges this involves and despite the uncertainty accompanying the production&rsquo;s outcome.&nbsp;Mission COMMUNITY SUPPORT Creating a movement of solidarity in the overall community lies at the heart of this unifying project. <div>Chaque fin d’année, depuis sa création, L’École martiale de Blainville présente devant public une œuvre martiale inédite à laquelle participe l’ensemble des karatékas de l’école, soit plus de 300 personnes ! Dans le contexte actuel de pandémie, L’EM souhaite envoyer un message de persévérance à tous ses karatékas ainsi qu’aux citoyens du Québec en transformant l’œuvre martiale théâtrale en œuvre martiale cinématographique!                    Grâce à votre soutien financier, L’École de l’être* sera en mesure de porter à l’écran cette œuvre martiale unique et de la diffuser à travers le Québec et même toute la francophonie pour rejoindre le plus de personnes possible. Chaque œuvre martiale imaginée, écrite et mise en scène par Sensei Marie-Lou Crête est une création unique fusionnant les arts martiaux, l’art dramatique, la musique et les arts numériques, portée par des karatékas de tous âges. Créée dans un formidable esprit de persévérance globale et de solidarité citoyenne, l’œuvre martiale 2021 suscitera une réflexion sur le sens de l’épreuve collective que nous traversons en ce moment et sur le monde d’après pandémie que nous construisons ensemble quotidiennement.                   Beaucoup plus qu’une simple démonstration de karaté, cette création originale, intergénérationnelle, universelle et intemporelle sera le fruit d’une collaboration entre L’École martiale, L’École de l’être, une artiste locale (Pascale Crête, Créer un Monde) et une entreprise culturelle du Québec (Boîte Noire Production, Dominic Simard).               Mission PERSÉVÉRANCE La réalisation de l’œuvre martiale permet de promouvoir auprès de tous les karatékas un modèle de persévérance transposable à l’ensemble de leur vie, en plus de favoriser le développement de leurs compétences sociales et personnelles.              Encourager la pratique familiale à long terme et miser sur la persévérance font partie de la mission de L’École martiale, qui est d’ailleurs un partenaire actif de l’organisme Persévérons ensemble depuis près de 10 ans sur le territoire de la CSSMI. À travers leur pratique et les réflexions émergeant des ateliers réflexifs, les karatékas apprennent rapidement que persévérer signifie «continuer quand cela est difficile».                                   </div><div>C’est exactement ce que plus de 300 karatékas âgés de 4 à 76 ans ont fait quand le confinement a été instauré en mars 2020 et continuent courageusement de faire! En plus de poursuivre leurs entraînements réguliers en ligne, les 30 karatékas de la Troupe martiale solidaire ont aussi décidé de poursuivre de façon virtuelle les séances de répétition de l’œuvre, malgré les défis que cela représente et malgré l’incertitude entourant l’avenir de la création.   Mission SOUTIEN COMMUNAUTAIRE  Créer un mouvement de solidarité dans l’ensemble de la communauté est au cœur de ce projet rassembleur. À travers les thèmes qui la sous-tendent, l’œuvre martiale vise à sensibiliser les karatékas et la population en général aux conséquences des inégalités sociales, à promouvoir les bienfaits de l’altruisme et à éveiller en chacun de nous le citoyen qui a le pouvoir de contribuer activement à un monde plus juste. En cohérence avec l’esprit de l’œuvre, les surplus financiers seront redistribués à des populations en situation de vulnérabilité.                    Mission SPORT ET SANTÉ GLOBALE L’œuvre martiale met en action plus de 30 karatékas plusieurs heures par semaine, leur permettant ainsi de conserver un mode de vie actif malgré le contexte actuel de pandémie.
