Help Build Local Food Resilience. Infinite Wave Foundation is developing an integrated food-security initiative designed to strengthen local capacity for year-round food production while creating opportunities for education, workforce development and community participation. The S.T.E.E.D. Project provides the infrastructure behind this vision by integrating controlled-environment agriculture with sustainable technologies including renewable energy, water resilience and organic waste recovery. Food produced through the initiative can support IWF's broader food-security work, including Meals Movement, while also becoming a hands-on learning environment for young people participating in Cultivate Our Youth. Youth can explore agriculture, food systems, entrepreneurship, technology and how food can become both a community resource and an economic opportunity. Our long-term capital requirement is approximately $500,000 to $1 million to develop the larger integrated system. However, the project is intentionally designed so that infrastructure can be developed in phases as funding becomes available.
