June 29, 2026 is 10 years since my mom passed away. When she wasn&#39;t busy taking care of others, as a mom and nurse, she ensured to dedicate time to taking care of herself. Often that meant cooking a good meal, practicing yoga, or enjoying a vanilla latte. Her favourite way to take care of herself was going for a run. Whether it was to shake off a tough day at work, or just to get her heart rate going, she always dedicated time for her health. And it was usually followed up by 200 crunches doing Ab Ripper X.I will never forget those moments, and how inspired it made me, and my siblings, to dedicate time to our health and fitness. On August 8th, I will be running the SeaWheeze 1/2 Marathon in Vancouver. Leading up to the race day, I&#39;d like to honour my mom and her legacy by raising some funds for Kemp Care Network.
