The End of the Rainbow Foundation&#39;s mission is to improve socio-economic conditions for people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities or expressions (SOGIE) by providing innovative education, support programs, and research.We are dedicated to all people of any sexual orientation and gender identity (LGBTQ+ or SOGIE), whether they are longtime citizens, or new Canadian refugees, or immigrants.Our vision is to fully welcome and nurture SOGIE people into Canadian life so that they become contributing members of our society.Among our services, the foundation assists the sponsorship of LGBTQ+ refugees, helping people leave countries where they are persecuted. The donations accumulated in the fund will be distributed to sponsor groups ready to accept refugees with the highest need of escaping persecution.The foundation hosts the Calgary LGBTQ+ Refugee Centre, settling SOGIE refugees from outside Canada.The foundation is also hosts and leads the Calgary Rainbow Room, a community centre for LGBTQ+ people with partners and co-locating services with key Calgary LGBTQ+ service providers.We have a variety of volunteer run services for all people, including support groups, mentor, and educational services.
