Hi! We are Ky & Alex from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Founders of McClane Clan Reptile Rescue. When we met, one of the things we found out we had in common was a shared dream. Something we each wanted to pursue as a life goal, long before we met. This dream was to have a rescue for animals. In 2022, we were able to bring this dream to life. Over the last few years, the need for our service has increased quite significantly, as we are one of the very few reptile rescues in Manitoba, and the only one within the city of Winnipeg. It's been an exciting journey so far, including becoming a registered non-profit, but we need your help more than ever. As we have grown, so have costs, and while we've been fortunate to have some donations over the years, we have been almost entirely self-funded. We have managed to handle most costs up until now; however, we're at the point that we can't sustain this long-term without help from the community and donors like you. This campaign is to help us cover immediate vet costs. We have had an increase in intakes recently, with multiple cases requiring urgent medical intervention. Veterinary costs have been too expensive for us to be able to get all the animals in right away; therefore, we've had to triage and, in some cases, delay treatment until money can be found. Currently, we have several urgent medical needs and surgical procedures with costs quoted as follows:

Snake (Clyde) - $250 - cyst removal, probable cancer

Leopard Gecko - (Elrond) $90 - medications

Leopard Gecko - (Nibs) $150 - basic exam, medications

Leopard Gecko - (Kirsh) $530 - tail amputation, medications

Leopard Gecko - (Nibs) $1050 - enucleation (eye removal), medications

Snake (Prompto) - $350 - critical care, IV fluids, medications

Leopard Gecko (Elrond)- $600 - intestinal blockage/abdominal cyst removal

Snake (Bitty) - impaction, enemas, critical care, medications

Any funds received beyond the goal for this campaign will be allocated towards future vetting costs. We will never use donations for our own profit; all funds are allocated to support the animals that we rescue.
