What began as a routine eye appointment led to a devastating diagnosis: bilateral retinoblastoma, cancer in both eyes. Her parents, Joey and Bre, suddenly faced difficult treatment decisions, months of travel to Toronto, and the uncertainty no family should have to experience. Meanwhile, Hollis’s big sisters, Cali and Marlowe, were trying to understand why their family was going through so much.  Through it all, Kids Cancer Care gave the family something they really needed: support, connection, and the chance to feel like a family again. Cali and Marlowe found friendship and understanding through sibling programs and camp, while Family Camp brought them together with other families who understood what they were going through.  Hollis continues to receive monitoring in Toronto.  This holiday season, you can help families facing childhood cancer find the same support and connection.
