As part of the current protest against McGill University's terrible practices, RadLaw McGill has decided to put up a fundraiser for ASTTeQ, a trans community organisation that works in particular with marginalized, criminalized and racialized trans folk in the greater Montreal area. As of 2019, 58% of trans people in Quebec earn less than $30,000. This is only further compounded by other intersections. Economic marginalization is a core reason why trans people are still generally unable to thrive, and we hope to be able to chip away at this issue one donation at a time. Each dollar can help make a trans person, or many trans people's, life or lives significantly better. 100% of donations will go to ASTTeQ. This donation form has been extended, and still is open for donations! Funds will be transferred to ASTTeQ on a rolling basis.
