Claude Boutet &eacute;tait l&rsquo;une de ces personnes.Claude a particip&eacute; &agrave; pratiquement toutes les facettes de notre organisme depuis ses tout d&eacute;buts. Il a si&eacute;g&eacute; &agrave; notre conseil d&rsquo;administration, dirig&eacute; le programme de patinage artistique, entra&icirc;n&eacute; des &eacute;quipes de hockey et de baseball et, plus tard, il est demeur&eacute; une pr&eacute;sence famili&egrave;re chez nous comme homme &agrave; tout faire et chauffeur. Ses r&ocirc;les ont chang&eacute; au fil des ann&eacute;es, mais une chose n&rsquo;a jamais chang&eacute; : Claude aimait profond&eacute;ment les enfants et croyait &agrave; l&rsquo;importance d&rsquo;&ecirc;tre pr&eacute;sent pour eux. Ceux qui l&rsquo;ont connu se souviendront aussi de son caract&egrave;re bien &agrave; lui. Claude pouvait &ecirc;tre bourru. Il disait ce qu&rsquo;il pensait, g&eacute;n&eacute;ralement sans trop de d&eacute;tours. Mais derri&egrave;re cette carapace se cachait un c&oelig;ur immense. Des g&eacute;n&eacute;rations d&rsquo;enfants et de familles ont b&eacute;n&eacute;fici&eacute; de son temps, de son engagement, de sa g&eacute;n&eacute;rosit&eacute; et de toutes ces fois o&ugrave; il &eacute;tait simplement l&agrave; lorsqu&rsquo;il fallait donner un coup de main. Claude n&rsquo;a pas simplement &eacute;t&eacute; b&eacute;n&eacute;vole ou employ&eacute; chez nous.&nbsp;Il a contribu&eacute; &agrave; b&acirc;tir cet organisme, un entra&icirc;nement de hockey, un cours de patinage, une partie de baseball, une r&eacute;union du conseil, une r&eacute;paration et un trajet en voiture &agrave; la fois. Nous lui sommes profond&eacute;ment reconnaissants pour tout ce qu&rsquo;il a donn&eacute; &agrave; notre organisme et, surtout, aux enfants qui ont franchi nos portes. Il fera toujours partie de notre histoire et il nous manquera &eacute;norm&eacute;ment.

Il a siégé à notre conseil d’administration, dirigé le programme de patinage artistique, entraîné des équipes de hockey et de baseball et, plus tard, il est demeuré une présence familière chez nous comme homme à tout faire et chauffeur. Ses rôles ont changé au fil des années, mais une chose n’a jamais changé : Claude aimait profondément les enfants et croyait à l’importance d’être présent pour eux. Ceux qui l’ont connu se souviendront aussi de son caractère bien à lui. Claude pouvait être bourru. Il disait ce qu’il pensait, généralement sans trop de détours. Mais derrière cette carapace se cachait un cœur immense. Des générations d’enfants et de familles ont bénéficié de son temps, de son engagement, de sa générosité et de toutes ces fois où il était simplement là lorsqu’il fallait donner un coup de main. Claude n’a pas simplement été bénévole ou employé chez nous. Il a contribué à bâtir cet organisme, un entraînement de hockey, un cours de patinage, une partie de baseball, une réunion du conseil, une réparation et un trajet en voiture à la fois. Nous lui sommes profondément reconnaissants pour tout ce qu’il a donné à notre organisme et, surtout, aux enfants qui ont franchi nos portes. Il fera toujours partie de notre histoire et il nous manquera énormément.

There are some people who become so much a part of an organization that it is difficult to tell its story without telling theirs. Claude Boutet was one of those people. Claude was involved in virtually every facet of our organization from its earliest days. He served on our Board of Directors, ran the figure skating program, coached hockey and baseball, and, in later years, continued to be a familiar presence as our handyman and driver. The roles changed over the years, but one thing never did: Claude loved kids, and he believed deeply in being there for them. Those who knew him will also remember his unmistakable personality. Claude could be gruff. He would tell you exactly what he thought, usually without much ceremony. But underneath that tough exterior was the biggest of hearts. Generations of children and families benefited from his time, his commitment, his generosity and the countless ways he simply showed up whenever something needed to be done. Claude didn&#39;t simply volunteer or work here.&nbsp;He helped build this organization, one hockey practice, skating lesson, baseball game, board meeting, repair and car ride at a time. We are deeply grateful for everything Claude gave to our organization and, most importantly, to the children who passed through our doors. He will always be part of our history, and he will be deeply missed.
