Since 2016, the Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre Society has been working to build a regional arts and culture centre for the West Shore community: a space for theatre, music, dance, visual arts, film, and more &mdash; designed to be inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all. We&#39;ve made remarkable progress. All six West Shore municipalities support our work through an Intermunicipal Committee. The CRD Board unanimously agreed to establish a Performing Arts Facilities Service that will provide planning grants toward a West Shore theatre. Over 70 arts groups helped shape the vision at our Artists&#39; Workshop. And more than 160 community members celebrated our cause at the West Shore Arts Gala last November.
