We are implementing large-scale mobile refrigerated pantries, to ensure that food assistance programs can receive and properly store large donations of fresh produce, greatly reducing spoilage, while maintaining the freshest quality for community members. <ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$20,000 = 1/11th of a food pantry's material costs</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$220,000 = Materials for full food pantry</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$800,000 = Pantry construction</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$1,000,000 = 1 complete food pantry (materials and assembly)</li></ul></li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Community Greenhouses: Not only supplying nutritious produce to food assistance groups to help those who are hungry, but also providing meaningful employment and careers to individuals with disabilities. By transforming underused farmland into vibrant sources of healthy food, we are modeling sustainable and inclusive food production that can inspire and benefit communities across Canada.
