The program provides support to local families with the dignity to buy nutrition dense food at the farmers markets, while 100% of your donation&#39;s dollar value circulates back to BC farms and businesses. Donations over $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt via Vancity Foundation. How it WorksUnder the Fresh to Families Program, lower-income families, pregnant people and seniors receive nutrition coupons from community partners and these can then be redeemed at our farmers markets, and can be used to purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, dairy, herbs, vegetable &amp; fruit plants, honey, meat and fish. Households enrolled in the program may receive up to $27 per week in coupons for up to 16 weeks. The amount, frequency and duration can vary according to each partner&rsquo;s program guidelines and the length of the Farmer&rsquo;s Market season in the community.
