The Handcycling Club of Canada (HCC) is dedicated to growing the sport of handcycling through education, participation, and community engagement. Since our establishment in 2012, we have worked tirelessly to create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to experience the joy of cycling. Our mission is to empower people through handcycling by providing access to adaptive bikes, hosting skill-building workshops, and organizing community rides that foster inclusivity.We believe that learning to ride a handcycle is a transformative experience, much like the rite of passage of riding a bicycle for able-bodied children. Through our programs, participants not only enhance their physical abilities but also form lasting friendships and connections. We facilitate local events across Canada, from beginner clinics to competitive races, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or experience, can participate and thrive. The HCC is not just a club; it is a vibrant community where individuals from all provinces and territories come together to celebrate the freedom of cycling. By promoting adaptive cycling equipment and providing education on its benefits, we aim to expand horizons and enrich lives, fostering a supportive environment where all can enjoy the thrill of handcycling.
