Building AI Literacy for All in Canada Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant technology; it&rsquo;s in our phones, our workplaces, our classrooms, and our communities. Yet many people still feel left out, unsure, or even fearful of what AI means for their future. At AIRI Foundation, we believe AI should be&nbsp;understood, shaped, and used by everyone, not just a small group of experts or corporations. Our mission is to break down the barriers that keep everyday Canadians from engaging with AI in meaningful ways.&nbsp; Our approach combines hands-on technical workshops with practical, everyday AI applications, ensuring participants don&rsquo;t just understand the technology but can use it to improve livelihoods, decision-making, and civic participation. Every program is designed with measurable outcomes, from the number of individuals certified in AI fundamentals, to the creation of local &ldquo;train-the-trainer&rdquo; cohorts that multiply impact beyond the classroom. Within our first year, we will deliver AI literacy to at least 2000 participants and equip 50 community leaders covering different age demographics to teach AI fundamentals, and produce open-access resources in English, French, and key newcomer languages.
