A cheek swab can save a life — but it takes a community to make that cheek swab happen. At Iranian Donors Save Lives, we are working to close a critical gap in Canada’s stem cell donor registry by increasing awareness, education, and registration within the Iranian community. For patients with blood cancers and other life-threatening blood disorders, a stem cell transplant can be life-saving — but finding a compatible match can be difficult, especially for patients from underrepresented communities. Because stem cell matching is connected to genetic ancestry, increasing Iranian representation on the registry can give more patients a chance at finding the match they need. Your support helps us continue this work through community education, culturally relevant outreach, stem cell donor drives, patient and donor storytelling, volunteer training, and partnerships with student and community organizations across Canada.Every financial contribution helps us educate communities, host donor drives, and register more potential stem cell donors. Together, we can build awareness, grow the donor pool, and give more patients hope for a life-saving match. Thank you for supporting Iranian Donors Save Lives!
