The Llama Sanctuary Needs a Permanent Home After moving to this beautiful location in Tappen less than 4 years ago, the landlord has just informed us that he will not be renewing our lease at the end of it's 5 year term. He requires the land for other purposes. This is a painful blow, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise. It's time The Llama Sanctuary had a permanent home. Every dollar donated helps to secure the future for dozens of rescued llamas and alpacas. This is no ordinary animal sanctuary - it's a llama park that has become an integral part of the community. MoonShadow & a Few Friends The Toll The last time The Sanctuary moved, the net cost of moving was around $66,000. The real cost was considerably more. It takes a toll on the rescued llamas and alpacas who finally found peace and stability in their lives. All the barns and shelters, the thousands of feet of fencing, the infrastructure, must all be moved. With your help we can make sure this is the last time! Eddie arrived in a terrible condition. His coat felted into a solid, stinking, infested mass. Although severely crippled with arthritis, he enjoys a life at The Llama Sanctuary that we hope makes up for many years of neglect The Sanctuary is also a place people of all ages learn why we need to care more about our natural surroundings and the creatures with which we share this planet. Extensive educational and community welfare programs place The Llama Sanctuary at the heart of the community. 💖 How You Can Help What we really need is land placed in trust for The Llama Sanctuary Society or perhaps a partnership. But we also need the funds to be able to move and rebuild. Every dollar makes a real difference:

Donate: Contributions of any amount are appreciated and can be made through this Zeffy Fundraiser or eTransfer. Click Here to explore the many different ways you can help.

Sponsor a Gate: For a donation of $250 or more, you can sponsor a gate.
