THANK YOU so much to all of <a href="https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/donation-form/pedestrians-and-cyclists-exist-lets-count-them" target="_blank">our generous donors for our first round of the campaign</a> - our first Telraam has been installed! Now lets keep up the momentum, the more Telraam traffic counters we have around Langley, the better we can show how many people in our community are walking, cycling and using trails and other active transportation facilities. We achieved our first goal in less than 24 hours, and we're still getting interest - this campaign will remain open and ongoing! <img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/hxn9dbuhd/image/upload/v1766034461/wysiwyg/grebapmizmi3l4f8gx4o.jpg" style="width:600px;display:block;vertical-align:top;margin:5px auto;text-align:center;padding:0px 1px;max-width:100%" /> We are raising funds to purchase a second Telraam traffic counter: a camera-based device that automatically counts pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users. This data matters. It will help us demonstrate the value of accessible trails, build the case for removing more barriers across Langley, and keep momentum going for a more walkable, bikeable community. Our Goal: CA$365 <table><thead></thead><tbody><tr><td>Telraam S2 Traffic Counter</td><td>CA$334.90</td></tr><tr><td>Shipping to Canada</td><td>CA$30.29</td></tr><tr><td>Total</td><td>CA$365.19</td></tr></tbody></table> The Telraam is priced in Euros (€199), so our total includes currency conversion and international shipping. Live near an area with trails or bike paths? We're also looking for homes to host the device. Reach out to us at strongtownslangley.org! About UsThe Langley Urbanist Society is a <a href="https://langleyurbanistsociety.ca/" target="_blank">registered BC society</a> and community group that brings local residents together to learn, discuss, and advocate for a more people-oriented, resilient and fiscally responsible Langley through regular meetups, projects, and community initiatives.
