School&#39;s Out for Literacy is a community fundraising campaign running from June 10 to July 31 in support of Raise a Reader and the Literacy Society of the North Okanagan. As part of the campaign, we&#39;ll be celebrating the last day of school on June 25 from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM at The Morning Star (4407 25 Avenue). Community members are invited to stop by for a free coffee and newspaper, connect with neighbours, and celebrate the start of summer while learning more about literacy in our community. We are grateful to The Morning Star for partnering with us to bring this community initiative to life. Donations are welcome both online and at the event. The Literacy Society of the North Okanagan is a registered charity that provides free literacy services to children, youth, adults, and seniors throughout our community. From one-to-one reading support and after-school learning programs to adult literacy and digital literacy training, all of our services are offered at no cost to participants. Every donation stays local and helps ensure these programs remain free and accessible to those who need them most.
