SCEAR responded in Northern Ontario. Animals still need our help. Our team deployed to Northern Ontario to assist with the wildfire response, travelling approximately 1,500 kilometres to support animals and communities affected by the fires. While thousands of people were forced to evacuate, pets, livestock and wildlife also required urgent assistance. Simcoe County Emergency Animal Response (SCEAR) is a volunteer-run, provincially incorporated not-for-profit organization that provides emergency support for animals affected by disasters. Although our team has now returned home, the costs of this deployment remain, and we need to replenish our supplies and prepare for the next emergency. Your donation will help provide:❗ Animal rescue and transport equipment ❗ Medical and first aid supplies ❗ Crates, carriers, leashes and livestock-handling equipment ❗ Personal protective equipment for volunteers ❗ Fuel for emergency deployments ❗ Vehicle maintenance and repairs ❗ Emergency communications equipment Every dollar donated helps replenish the resources used during the Northern Ontario response, keeps our responders equipped and our vehicles on the road, and ensures our team remains ready to answer the next call.
