Support The 2026 Anne Mitton Memorial Writer in Residence Program. This residency was created in memory of beloved Fredericton author and teacher Anne Mitton. The purpose of this residency is to support writers in the development of both existing and new projects related to longform writing. This residency is currently open to writers working in fiction, non-fiction, and theatre. &nbsp;One artist will be chosen each year for a fall-winter residency (November to March) beginning in 2026. In addition to the development of their own work, each writer in residence will be required to lead two weekend writing workshops at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre and participate in a public reading event involving workshop participants.&nbsp;
