WORDS (Women Organization for Rights, Dignity and Speech) is a Canadian non-profit protecting and documenting the rights of Afghan women journalists, human rights defenders, and civic leaders, inside Afghanistan and in exile. Since the Taliban took power, women who report the truth, document human rights violations, or simply speak publicly have faced escalating danger. Many continue their work anyway, in secret, at real personal risk. WORDS trains them in digital security and documentation, carries their evidence to the United Nations, and responds when they reach out to us in an emergency. Your donation does two things at once: it helps a woman in crisis get the support she needs right now, and it keeps our training, documentation, and advocacy work running every day. Even a small gift can be the difference between silence and survival for a woman still telling the truth about what's happening to her country.
