A hand holds a card with a horseshoe design and the words "Trott Fundraiser - September" against a vibrant background of yellow flowers.

This fundraiser is organized by Dom Barbeau, a local tattoo artist and dedicated TROtt volunteer who wants to raise awareness and support for therapeutic riding programs for people with disabilities—and for a very special horse named Charlie. Charlie is one of TROtt’s incredible therapy horses and has been changing lives at TROtt for 13 years! His steady and reliable nature helps riders build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections. We believe horses choose to do this important work. It isn’t something that can simply be taught—it comes down to their character, patience, and heart. Charlie has an exceptionally big heart, and his remarkable contribution to so many riders was recognized in 2025 when he received a Horse of Distinction Award from CanTRA. Together, we hope to raise $2,500 to sponsor Charlie and help cover a portion of the ongoing costs associated with his care. Every donation makes a difference—not only for Charlie, but also for the special riders who look forward to seeing him and participating in their lessons each week. Donate today and help us care for the horse who has taken such wonderful care of our riders for the past 13 years.
