The CIG Century Campaign is a fundraiser launched by the Canadian Institute in Greece&#39;s Board of Directors to continue to grow the Institute and ensure its long term stability. As we approach the 50th anniversary of the CIG being officially recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture as one of Greece&#39;s foreign archaeological institutes on 16 February 1976, we are looking ahead to the next 50 years of the Institute and its work To that end, the CIG board of directors appeals to our current and future members and supporters to reach out goal of raising &quot;$500,000 For The 50th!&quot; The CIG Century Campaign will address some of the Institute&#39;s most pressing needs:&nbsp;-the continued development of CIG&#39;s new facilities in Athens (Orminiou 3) as we aim to complete the renovation of a new rooftop garden terrace for receptions and events-the expansion of the Institute&#39;s operating space to address the Institute&#39;s growing needs by taking full ownership of the Orminiou 3 building-growing the Building Fund endowment to ensure the long-term sustainability of the CIG building and our recently renovated student hostel-supporting the series of lectures and <a fr-original-style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit;" href="https://www.cig-icg.gr/events" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit;">events</a>&nbsp;related to the 50th Anniversary of the Institute that will occur throughout 2025-2026 The Canadian Institute in Greece receives no government funding, and therefore its activities are made possible due to the generosity of its academic and private supporters.
