Therapeutic Paws of Canada™ is a registered charity offering free therapy pet visitations. Currently over 500 volunteers across Canada donate more than 100,000 hours of time annually to the various programs offered. We offer a variety of programs, including: visits to retirement and nursing facilities and workplaces; support to vulnerable victims of and witnesses to crime in the court; visits to first responders, hospices and disaster sites to offer comfort; visits to allow children to read to certified therapy pets in schools and libraries; and work with occupational therapists and professionals in the field to assist those with mental, physical, emotional, and trauma induced disabilities. Each community provides the program suitable for their location, with the resources available.
