Ruby was our “yes.” ❤️ On August 28th, we got a call about a young puppy who had been tied up in a yard, living outside for days at a time. When we saw Ruby, we couldn’t say no. She had no placement waiting for her. No veterinary appointment. No plan, but we stepped in.  With the help of Project Sphynx, we picked her up and brought her back to our city. Sometimes, rescue means saying yes first and figuring out the rest as you go. We called Royal Vet and they helped see us within a few hours. We then found out that Ruby is about a year old and weighs approximately 35 lbs. She is severely underweight and has patches of fur missing. She is visibly suffering from internal and external parasites. Despite everything she has been through, she is incredibly sweet.  She can be fearful around new people, but she bonds very quickly once she feels safe. For us, Ruby is exactly what Dogust is all about. She is our “yes” case. The case where you don't have a foster lined up.The case where you don't know exactly how you're going to make it work. But you know that leaving her behind isn't an option. This is why the “yes” matters. We cannot say yes to dogs like Ruby without our community standing behind us. Rescue doesn't happen because one person decides to help, it happens because a whole community comes together and says, “We've got you.” Right now, our goal is to raise $1,500 CAD for Ruby's immediate care. This will help us get her the veterinary care she needs (double round vaccines, microchip, parasite prevention, spay), treat her mites, provide proper nutrition, and give her the supplies she needs to start recovering. We believe we can reach this goal quickly — but only if we come together.Ruby already said yes to us.Now we're asking you to say yes to Ruby. 🐾❤️ Every donation, every share, and every bit of support helps us continue saying yes to the dogs who need us most. Thank you in advance for your support as we help Ruby on her journey to her forever home!
